Fall invader service

Stop boxelder bugs and stink bugs before they settle into the structure.

Seasonal exterior reduction for qualifying homes in SW Washington and the Greater Portland Metro area, starting at $149.

What service may include

  • Photo review or on-site identification before treatment.
  • Inspection of sunny siding, doors, windows, eaves, vents, and accessible entry areas.
  • Targeted exterior application where the current product label and site conditions allow.
  • Practical advice for screens, door sweeps, utility gaps, trim, and other exclusion points.
  • Final scope and price confirmed before scheduling.

What the service cannot promise

This is a reduction service, not a zero-bug guarantee. Insects that have already entered wall voids, attics, siding gaps, or other protected spaces may continue to appear on warm days.

For qualifying homes, seasonal exterior service starts at $149. Larger homes, difficult height or access, heavy activity, and additional treatment areas can change the final price.

Know what you are seeing

Two different insects with a similar fall habit.

Boxelder bugs are narrow, dark insects with red or orange markings. They often gather near boxelder and maple trees, then cluster on sun-warmed structures.

Brown marmorated stink bugs are mottled brown and shield-shaped, with pale bands along the antennae and the edge of the abdomen. They may release an odor when disturbed or crushed.

Neither insect usually causes structural damage. The problem is the number that can gather outside and slip through small openings.

Boxelder and stink bug FAQ

Helpful answers before you schedule

Are these bugs dangerous?

They are primarily nuisance pests. They do not normally damage the structure, although large numbers can be frustrating and may stain surfaces if crushed.

Can you guarantee none get inside?

No. Treatment can reduce activity around accessible exterior entry areas, but insects already sheltered inside walls or attics can keep appearing. Exclusion and intact screens are important.

When should I schedule service?

Late summer and early fall are often the most useful windows, while the insects are clustering outside and before more enter protected winter shelter. Weather can shift the timing.

What should I do with bugs already indoors?

Vacuum them and empty the vacuum outside. Avoid crushing stink bugs. Sealing gaps, repairing screens, and improving door sweeps can help reduce additional entry.

Does the same treatment apply to both bugs?

Not automatically. Correct identification and the current label for the exact product determine whether a pesticide treatment is appropriate. If it is not, we will explain physical removal and exclusion options.

How much does service cost?

Seasonal exterior reduction starts at $149 for qualifying homes. Property size, height, access, activity, and the final treatment area determine the confirmed price.
